In the summer of 2015, François Chaignaud and Cecilia Bengolea were the first choreographers invited by the TanzTheater Wuppertal Pina Bausch to create a piece for the company since the choreographer’s passing. The Lighters’ Dancehall Polyphony brings together and blends the polyphonic repertoire of English Renaissance madrigals with the dancehall culture of the streets of Kingston
