A cycle of 5 short movies shot in 2015 in the Death Valley
“Escape from the theater, a fugitive in the desert.”
The films capture, in a sequence shot, the delicate intensity of an intriguing presence in the midst of the beautiful but difficult spaces of California’s Death Valley. César Vayssié and François Chaignaud propose a first cycle with 5 versions of a strange ritual, based on Henry Purcell’s aria Oh Solitude, sung, danced and filmed in 5 different locations.
